Kara Clarke MCSP
Paediatric Physiotherapist and Pilates Instructor
Kara is a dynamic physiotherapist with over 12 years' experience of treating musculoskeletal conditions and sports injuries in children, with specific training in Pilates for adults and children.
She qualified from Brunel University in 2003 with a 1st class honours degree and since then has worked in both the NHS and Private sector.
She started her career at a large London hospital before moving down to the South West and working at Salisbury Hospital, becoming a team leader at Warminster Hospital and then for Somerset Partnership as a paediatric physiotherapist with a special interest in orthopaedics and musculoskeletal pain, running joint Consultant Paediatric Orthopaedic Clinics at Yeovil Hospital. This has given her experience in numerous conditions such as hypermobility, joint and muscle injuries and pain, musculoskeletal pain in neurological conditions and gait abnormalities such as toe walking and in toeing gait. She regularly treats children with muscle and joint pain and has worked at Millfield School and is currently the physiotherapist at Kings School Bruton.
She has additional training in Pilates through the APPI (Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute) and teaches classes, small group and 1-2-1 sessions for children and adults
